MoP, Kuwait Energy Egypt sign MoU at EGYPS 2022 for capacity building program

On the sidelines of the Petroleum Show EGYPS 2022, H.E. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has witnessed the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Kuwait Energy Egypt and Ministry of Petroleum to support and sponsor the development of young leaders and middle management; where Eng. Kamel Al Sawi, President, signed from Kuwait Energy Egypt side, while Eng. Alaa Hagar, Head of the central administration of the ministry’s technical office, signed from the MOP side.
The launch of the second phase in its new edition comes as a resumption and a continuation for the success of the program's first phase which has been sponsored by Kuwait Energy Egypt in 2019 at designing the “Emerging Leaders” program that provided six months of intensive developmental training for 10 high potential talented participants with approximately 2500 learning hours per participant.
Eng. Kamel Al Sawi explained “Kuwait Energy Egypt continues the sustained commitment towards the support of the modernization program that has been initiated by H.E. Eng. Tarek El Molla two years back. It comes out of our belief that this will help Egypt to achieve its major target of being a regional energy hub which requires different mentalities and challenging capabilities, and our responsibility is to build these capabilities together with the ministry.”
Lastly, Eng. Kamel Al Sawi assured his pleasure to the strategic partnership with the Ministry of petroleum to launch this key development program in the second edition stating that the capacity building programs reinforce the youth empowerment and contribute to the development and preparation of Egyptian calibers to assume leadership positions in the petroleum sector and develop the upcoming generation.
