STA and SSC signed an agreement to sponsor 200 students

Cairo, October 19, 2021 - El Sewedy Technical Academy has signed a joint cooperation agreement with Suez Steel Company to sponsor 200 students to work in the iron and steel field for the current academic year, within the framework of their continuous cooperation in many fields over the past years.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy - Chairman of El Sewedy Electric and Mr. Rafik Daw - Managing Director and Vice Chairman of the Suez Steel Company, in the presence of Ms. Hanan El-Rihani - Secretary-General and CEO of El Sewedy Technical Academy.
Suez Steel Company has been the strategic partner of the El Sewedy Technical Academy for 4 years. The partnership began in 2017 through the “Training for Employment” program, where 200 young people were trained in mechanics and electricity by El Sewedy Technical Academy and employed in Suez Steel Company, and with In 2018, a new specialization was launched in dual technical education and the preparation of its curricula in partnership with the Suez Steel Company, which is "iron and steel", and the company sponsored 90 students, and 46 students were graduated in the academic year 2020/2021, and the necessary measures are being taken to employ 100% of graduates.
The partnership is continuing through the "Training for Employment" program in cooperation with the Sawiris Foundation for Development to train 60 young people by the El-Sewedy Technical Academy and the Egyptian-German Academy for Technical Training and to provide them with employment opportunities at Suez Steel Company in the disciplines (mechanical maintenance - Electrical maintenance - CNC - Plumbing).
