Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Orman Association to support Village 45 and Al-Wafaa & Al-Amal Villages in the Al-Ameriya Center, Alexandria Governorate. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' (MoPMR) corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which aims to enhance the oil and gas sector’s contribution to community development, focusing on areas in need of the most support.
The protocol was signed by Amr Ahmed Lotfy, AMOC Chairman, and Ahmed El-Gendy, Chairman of the Orman Association, with the attendance of Alaa Hagar, Undersecretary of MoPMR’s Technical Office.
Under the agreement, the project will improve 60 homes by rebuilding, furnishing, and equipping them. It also includes launching 20 small projects and providing livestock, which will create sustainable income for vulnerable families.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by the MoPMR to advance sustainable development and improve living standards in various communities across Egypt. Notably, the oil and gas sector has contributed significantly to CSR projects in Alexandria Governorate in recent years, focusing on health, education, training, and housing rehabilitation.
