Petroleum Sector and Eni Strengthen Healthcare in Matrouh and Port Said Governorates

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, alongside Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, oversaw the signing of two corporate social responsibility agreements showcasing the petroleum sector's significant support for healthcare in Matrouh and Port Said governorates in collaboration with Eni, an Italian energy giant.
The first agreement, between Eni and the Ministry of Health and Population and Matrouh Governorate, aims to implement a community health project in the governorate. The second agreement involves Petrojet, a subsidiary of the petroleum sector, starting construction on the burns treatment department at Al Salam Hospital in Port Said, supported by Eni.
The agreements were signed by officials including Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, Mohamed El-Tayeb, Assistant Minister of Health and Population, Mattia Campanati, Managing Director of IEOC (Eni’s subsidiary in Egypt), and others.
El Molla emphasized the importance of supporting the health sector as a key aspect of the petroleum sector's social responsibility strategy, focusing on identifying and addressing local community needs. He commended Eni for its continuous support to these initiatives.
Following the signing, the ministers honored 17 distinguished doctors from an advanced training program for healthcare, supported by Eni.
