Kuwait Energy Egypt Launches A Comprehensive School Medical Convoy in Ras Gharib

Considering healthcare as a top priority within the framework of community service and supporting the development of medical services and facilities within the surrounding communities where it operates, Kuwait Energy Egypt has launched a wide-ranging 4 days School medical convoy at Ras Gharib in March. The convoy targeted primary and preparatory school students with an aim to present different services for Ras Gharib Students who have limited access to healthcare services.
The school medical convoy included doctors and a team of nurses and administrators, to conduct free medical examinations on patients, in addition to teaching healthy eating and nutrition tips to students with the distribution of medicine for a number of 702 patients.
The convoy carried out approximately 200 medical checkups & blood tests and provided free medications in different medical specialties like pediatrics, surgery, dermatology, cardiology and otolaryngology.
The convoy has witnessed the visit of Ras Gharib City Council and the Director of Ministry of Education of Ras Gharib in recognition to Kuwait Energy Egypt’s vital role in serving Ras Gharib residents along with the key strategic partner Misr El Kheir Foundation for bringing this inclusive project to life.
Eng. Kamel Al Sawi, President of Kuwait Energy Egypt, stated that Kuwait Energy Egypt is committed to continue its efforts to support the community around its operations in Ras Gharib through sustainable development initiatives that empower youth for a better and healthy future. He also added that this medical convoy was organized to provide necessary medical health checkup for students of Ras Gharib to keep track of immunization schedule, create a baseline for future reference, monitor early detection of diseases and to assess normal development of the students.
He also spotlighted that Kuwait Energy succeeded in delivering health services to approximately 30,000.
It is worth mentioning that Kuwait Energy has previously sponsored comprehensive medical convoys back in 2018 and 2019 in collaboration with Misr El Kheir Foundation to serve the people of Ras Gharib.
