Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, presided over a significant milestone in Egypt’s sustainable energy journey as he witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Abu Qir Fertilizers Company, ABB International Group, MPS Infrastructure Company, and Petrojet.

The MoU sets the stage for the supply of green hydrogen and renewable electricity to the North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients Company. Speaking after the signing ceremony, Minister El Molla underscored the distinguished capabilities of the oil and gas sector, particularly in infrastructure development. He emphasized the sector’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector to advance the state’s strategic goals in oil, gas, and green energy.

Highlighting the abundant investment opportunities within Egypt’s oil and gas sector, El Molla stressed the importance of harnessing these opportunities alongside efforts to mitigate emissions and safeguard the environment. This initiative reflects Egypt’s commitment to embracing sustainable practices while advancing its energy industry.
