El Molla Applauds Women's Contribution to the Petroleum Industry

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla praised the significant role of women in driving achievements within the petroleum sector, particularly as they ascend to leadership positions. These sentiments were expressed during his speech at the Women's Day celebration organized by the General Trade Union for Petroleum Workers (GTUPW) at the headquarters of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS).

El Molla underscored the necessity of continuous support and development for the sector's workforce, especially in light of the industry's progress and positive reputation fostered by the Modernization project. Additionally, he urged women to redouble their efforts in the current phase, emphasizing the importance of balancing their responsibilities at the GTUPW, their respective companies, and their roles within their families.

Mohamed Gibran, the head of GTUPW, acknowledged the minister's role in creating an environment conducive to women's success within the sector. Aida Mohieldin, Vice President of the General Union of Petroleum Workers for Women's Affairs, commended the minister's dedication to empowering women in the oil industry. She highlighted the sector's increasing prosperity and opportunities for women, affirming their commitment to intensify their efforts and contribute innovative ideas for continued success.

The event also included a documentary featuring prominent female business leaders and emerging young executives who expressed appreciation for the sector's initiatives promoting women's advancement within the oil industry.
