Published on : 2024-03-19
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has affirmed the tangible outcomes of the development and modernization vision initiated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) in 2016. This vision has resulted in the implementation of notable projects across the oil and gas industry, fostering business growth, enhancing sector companies' capital, and expanding reliable partnerships.
El Molla made these remarks during a meeting to evaluate the performance of Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (Enppi) in 2023. He highlighted Enppi's business achievements for 2023 and its contracted business volume for the period spanning from 2024 to 2028, totaling approximately $5 billion, showcasing the company's utilization of its specialized expertise and capabilities.
El Molla attributed Enppi's expanded business volume beyond Egypt to the strong relationships Egypt maintains with its counterparts in the Arabian Gulf and African countries. Meanwhile, Enppi's Chairman Wael Lotfy emphasized the company's business model's effectiveness and adaptability, characterized by responsiveness to change, continuous development, innovation, and sustainability.
Despite geopolitical and economic challenges in 2023, Enppi's resilience and agility enabled it to excel. Throughout 2023, Enppi significantly contributed to various national projects and received its highest-ever ranking among top international companies in the Energy News Record (ENR) assessment for engineering design and contracting works.
