In the sidelines of ADIPEC 2023, hosted in Abu Dhabi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Tarek Al-Mulla held a bilateral discussion with Mr. Song Yu - CEO of Kuwait Energy Company, in the presence of Geologist Alaa Al-Batal, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Samir Raslan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Exploration and Agreements, and Eng. Kamel Al-Sawi, President of Kuwait Energy Egypt. The minister reviewed the company's current activity in Egypt, which currently operates under the name of United Energy Egypt through the latest acquisition in last March.

Throughout the meeting, the Minister praised the ongoing progress and the continued development that are carried on in the company's projects in Egypt in the areas of Burj Al Arab, Abu Sennan, and West of Wadi El Natroun in the Western Desert, as well as the partnership with Enap Sipetrol in the area of East Ras Qattara, in addition to the service agreement with the General Petroleum Company in several development areas in the Eastern Desert.

HE has also shed the lights on the efforts to accelerate the start of the exploration program in West of Wadi El-Natroun and highlighted the company’s eagerness to expand its exploratory activities through the announced international bid rounds.
