Energean start drilling at Hapy concession offshore Egypt

In the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt, two wells are onstream at the NEA/NI gas development, NEA#5 and NEA#6, with two more set to come online later this year. PY#1 was completed and tested at 20 MMcf/d last month, while NI#1 should spud this month.

The Orion-1X exploration well (Energean, 30%) on the northeast Hap'y concession offshore Egypt should also start drilling in the fourth quarter. The company is close to farming out 11% of its working interest.
