ECHEM inks deal with UAE-based Rega Green Energy for algae oil production

The Egyptian petrochemicals company ECHEM has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Riga Green; a UAE-based company, for the production of algae oil, a statement from the Egyptian Petroleum ministry has revealed.

Algae oil is used in producing aircraft fuel Bio and green oil production to be used in the production of environment friendly petrochemical products.

The MoU has been signed by the Chairman of ECHEM Saad Helal and the Chairman of Rega Green Energy Ramy Bassiouny.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla on the sidelines of the third edition of the Egyptian Petroleum Sector Energy Efficiency Conference (EPEEC 2022).
