Al Sisi urges more cooperation with Eni in oil sector

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Claudio Descalzi, CEO of the Italian "Eni" Petroleum Company, in the presence of Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Mr. Alessandro Politi, Head of Exploration and Production at Eni.

The meeting dealt with following up the activity of Eni in Egypt in the field of exploration, exploration and production in the gas and petroleum sector.

The CEO of "Eni" company reviewed the overall developments of the multiple projects it is carrying out in Egypt in the fields of exploration and production, especially in the Red, Mediterranean and Western regions, praising the path of fruitful partnership with the Egyptian government, which has the direct support of the President, which had a great positive impact. On the success of the company's business and activities in Egypt, and making it one of the most important countries for the company's work in the world.

In this context; The President expressed his aspiration for the company to continue expanding its activities in Egypt, especially in the field of exploration, in order to maximize the state's resources of gas and oil and optimize them for the benefit of the development process and the national economy, in addition to Egypt's endeavor to be a regional energy center, directing his sovereignty in this context to the Ministry of Petroleum And its bodies to continue intensive cooperation with the company, facilitate its activities in Egypt, and overcome any obstacles that may face its business, while adhering to the timetables specified for the rates of development of the fields in which the Italian company operates.
