Engineer Tariq Al Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, announced the completion of the conversion of 1,070 million housing units to work with natural gas during the fiscal year 2019/2020 within Egypt's national project to deliver natural gas to homes at a rate of implementation of 107% compared to the plan during the same period, despite the challenges faced by the delivery activity as a result  The precautionary measures necessary to confront the Coronavirus during the last five months. 

Al-Mulla explained that natural gas was delivered to 11.1 million housing units from the beginning of the activity until the end of the fiscal year 2019/2020, which resulted in saving about 200 million cylinders of gas annually, and providing the natural gas service as a civil and sustainable fuel for about 45 million citizens, including about 5.1 million  A housing unit that has been connected to gas during the past six years, at 46% of the total.

He stressed that the last financial plan included the delivery of natural gas to 66 new areas for the first time, for example, Izbat al-Prince in Alexandria Governorate, the city of Hawamdiya and the villages of Arab Abu Sa`d, Al-Shoubak and Minya at the Saf Center in Giza Governorate, the Shindid Village in the Itaiy al-Barud Center and Kafr Ghunaim in the Rahmaniya Center in the Lake District and the village of Dhamsha  The Mashtoul Center, Soubeeh, Mahdia, Zarzmoun, Adwah, Sheikh Muslim Bahia, Al Qurain, Al Ibrahimia City, Al Halawat Village, New Salihiya City, Sharqiya Governorate, Kabish Village, Gharbia Governorate, Dareen Village, Nabruh Center, Naqita Village, Mansoura Center, Dakahlia Governorate, Kafr Al Sheikh Ibrahim, Quesna Center, Qawisna Center, Qafar Center, Kafr  And the city of Batanon and the village of Janzour in Baraka al-Sabe in the governorate of Menoufia, Kafr Abu Zekry, Mit Rady, Kafr Saad and Kafr in honor of religion and a tree in the center of Benha in the governorate of Qaliubiya and the city of Mallawi in the governorate of Minya and the city of Juhayna in the governorate of Sohag and the villages of al-Shaarani and Hilla and the island of Mutairah in the Qus center and the city of Naqada in the governorate of Qena, other than completing the connection work in all areas available.
