DCarbon congratulates EDC for issuing its first sustainability report according to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards

Published on : 2020-05-07

Congratulations to

The Egyptian Drilling Company

(EDC)

"Egyptian 100X100"

The Oldest, Largest and the most Contemporary

EDC issued its first sustainability report according to the most used international standards, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.

This achievement comes at that time to clearly send a strong message about the solidity of the Egyptian drilling company and the Egyptian oil and gas sector at a time when the global, regional and local economies are experiencing a severe crisis.

On the other hand, this report plays an important role in highlighting the integration between the Egyptian Drilling Company's strategy and the Egyptian oil sector modernization project on the one hand, and Egypt 2030 strategy for sustainable development on the other.

ENG. OSAMA KAMEL

EDC CHAIRMAN and MD

“We are looking forward to setting a long-term strategy towards building a future oriented platform.”

One of the main pillars of this strategy is sustainability and the ability to achieve it.

Chief Business Support Officer

ENG. Ihab Erfan

"EDC has been a beacon and a buoy guiding others and setting benchmarks, sometimes even competing with oneself. The market and the socioeconomic changes had a hefty impact on EDC and caused blurriness in the vision. We need a strong vision to bring our beacon once again in the forefront allowing current and new generations to operate sustainably".
