The General Assembly of the Natural Gas Company for Cars (Car gas) is held to approve its results for the year 2019

Engineer Tariq Al Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, stressed the importance of expanding the uses of natural gas, especially in cars, within the framework of the state’s tendency to increase the use of natural gas in various means of transportation as a safe and clean source as well as its economic and environmental returns and achieve the maximum benefit from the growing state resources of natural gas.  The necessity of developing the field of fuel supply services for cars and expanding the construction of natural gas supply stations in various governorates to facilitate the provision of services to citizens.

This came during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Natural Gas Company for Cars (Car gas) to adopt the results of its work for the year 2019 via video conference.

Al Mulla explained that the expansion in the use of natural gas as fuel for cars will contribute to reducing the demand for liquid fuel consumption from gasoline and diesel, which is imported from some of the needs of the local market from them, which will maximize the benefit from our petroleum wealth, stressing the ministry’s keenness to provide different types of fuel to the consumer  Compatible with all segments and their uses.

Engineer Hisham El-Safty, the company’s president, reviewed the results of the company’s business during the year 2019, as the company achieved a wide geographical spread at the level of 19 governorates and new projects were opened and operated, such as the station of the Upper Egypt Transport and Tourism Company, which includes a center for examining and renewing cylinders and another for oil change, in Beni Suef Governorate, as has been  Opening of the Nasr City Conversion Center and the opening of the first center to examine and renew cylinders in the cable station in Cairo Governorate, in addition to the company’s spread at the governorate level through 77 natural gas supply stations with a rate of 40% in addition to 22 car conversion centers for work with natural gas bin  29% of the total local market.

The CEO of the company stated that 22649 cars were converted to work with natural gas during 2019 compared to 10212 cars during 2018, an increase of 122%.
