Halliburton to Boost Egypt’s Gas Production with Three Deepwater Wells by 2025
Published on : 2024-12-09
Halliburton is set to bring three deepwater wells in Egypt online by mid-2025, adding approximately 150 million cubic feet of gas per day. These wells are part of the 11th phase of the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project in the Baltim concession, supporting Egypt’s drive to enhance natural gas production.
The $575 million investment in the 10th and 11th phases reflects a collaborative effort between Halliburton, Burullus Gas Company, and EGPC to maximize gas output. Halliburton is also working on additional projects for Petrobel and conducting well stimulation across Egypt’s key gas fields.
These developments align with Egypt’s strategy to offset natural declines in gas production while solidifying its role as a regional energy hub.
