50% Increase in Household LPG Cylinder Prices Effective Today

Starting at 6:00 AM today, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has enacted a price increase for both household and commercial LPG cylinders, in accordance with a decree issued by the Prime Minister.

Under the new pricing structure, the cost of household LPG cylinders has risen from EGP 100 to EGP 150 “factory price”, while the price for commercial LPG cylinders has increased from EGP 150 to EGP 200.

Additionally, the Ministry has raised the price of mazut supplied to power generation plants, now priced at EGP 6,500 per ton, up from EGP 2,500, while maintaining a fixed price for industrial users.

The decision also includes a price hike for bulk liquefied gas, which will now be sold at EGP 12,000 per ton.
