Sayed El-Rawi, Chairman of Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company (ANRPC), announced that the company produced 30% of Egypt's total local output of high-octane 92 and 95 fuels, amounting to 1.9 million tons. This update was shared during the company’s general assembly meeting, attended by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to review the operational results for the fiscal year (FY) 2023/24.

El-Rawi highlighted ANRPC's significant progress in production rates, emphasizing the company’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental protocols. The meeting also featured a presentation on the advancements made to enhance unit efficiency, ensuring safe operations by adhering to safety management guidelines for all units and storage facilities.

Key ongoing projects were discussed, including a collaborative initiative with Mitsubishi to harness excess hydrogen as fuel for boilers. This project is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 57,000 tons annually and save 31,000 tons of natural gas, which can be allocated for other industrial uses.

In addition, plans to expand storage capacity were presented. ANRPC is constructing a new 10,000-ton warehouse, complete with the necessary infrastructure, to ensure diversified supply sources and maintain production capacity.
