NORTH PETROLEUM INTERNATIONAL COMPANY S.A. TAKES ACTIVE MEASURES AGAINST COVID-19

In light of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, NPIC, China Zhenhuaoil Egypt Branch, was one of the first companies that has taken active initiatives to raise awareness followed by aiding in the outbreak’s containment.

Firstly, at the dawn of the Coronavirus spread in World, NPIC immediately restricted all business travel. This was followed by promptly announcing several protective measures and procedures along with conducting awareness sessions lead by the Company’s doctor in order to prepare all its staff for the inevitable possibility of the outbreak reaching Egypt. 

Additionally, NPIC ensured all protective, hygiene and sanitation products are abundantly available at its head offices as well as sites, whilst stressing on all its staff to use distributed masks & hand sanitizer & disinfectant wipes and avoid unnecessary outings during and off working hours. All employee were instructed to strictly abide by above Covid-19 preventions by a Company’s CGM Letter.

The company also implemented protective procedures such as keeping records of all employee body temperatures on daily basis, regularly sanitizing the office and sites as well as eliminating the use of the fingerprint access before the outbreak was announced in Egypt.  NPIC had an emergency response plan identified and ready for implementation in the event the epidemic reaches the Country.  

Currently, NPIC encouraged its employees to remotely work from home using its well installed information-sharing tools to ensure their safety and well-being. The Company continues to strictly follow the updates and news with regards to the COVID-19 preventions from the World Health Organization, EGPC as well as the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population.
