In an effort to engage with employees, oversee work progress, and enhance production rates, Engineer Mohamed Roshdy, Vice President of EGAS for Production and Field Development, and Dr. Ashraf Ramadan, Assistant Chairman for Environmental Protection and Health and Safety, recently visited North Sinai Petroleum Company (NOSPCO) sites. Their visit included a field tour of the offshore rig "Al-Qahirah-2" and an inspection of drilling operations at the "Aton-1" well. This well is the second in the Phase 3B development project for North Sinai's offshore fields, with plans to bring it into production soon at an anticipated rate of approximately 20 million cubic feet per day. The first well in this phase began production in June 2024, yielding 17 million cubic feet per day.
Engineer Mohamed El-Daghidi, Chairman of North Sinai Petroleum Company, presented the company’s plans for Phase 4 development. He highlighted that preparations for long-lead equipment are underway, and tenders are being issued to start work as soon as Phase 3 concludes. Since the company's inception, investments have totaled $1.2 billion, with an additional $88 million earmarked for the Phase 4 development project.
Roshdy commended the NOSPCO team for their successful execution of the development projects and their proactive steps towards preparing for Phase 4. This effort aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' objectives to accelerate production and intensify development efforts.
