Published on : 2024-07-30

Under the Human Resource Development Program in the oil sector, a Training of Trainers (TOT) program has been launched in collaboration with the French company IFPT, a subsidiary of the French Petroleum Institute. This initiative aims to certify a group of outstanding sector employees as trainers by IFPT, enabling them to conduct specialized training in refining operations. Additionally, several process engineers are being trained on cutting-edge refining technologies.
The program's launch took place at the EPROM facility within Alexandria's petroleum complex, attended by Engineer Alaa Hagar, Undersecretary for the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' Technical Office, Engineer Mohamed Badr, Chairman of ANOPC, and Engineer Hossam Asaad, Chairman of EPROM.
This new program marks a significant step in a broader initiative to enhance the operational skills of young engineers and technicians in Upper Egypt. It represents a pioneering effort by the oil sector to provide comprehensive training and qualification for recent graduates from Upper Egypt. The initiative aims to develop their skills and expertise, enabling them to perform operational and maintenance tasks at the diesel production complex of Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC). This endeavor, part of the sector's social responsibility, is creating a new pool of trained and qualified labor from Upper Egypt for the oil and gas industry.
The capacity-building program is executed by a group of specialized Egyptian and international companies. Enppi designs and delivers foundational skills programs in English, computer skills, and fundamental health, safety, and environmental practices. The global company DNV offers specialized training in occupational safety, health, environmental management, maintenance strategies, reliability, quality, asset management, and process safety.
