Enppi and Petrojet, leading entities in engineering, contracting, and construction within the petroleum sector, have been entrusted with executing a solar-powered electric generation station project, generating 10 megawatts, at the Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC).

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' strategy to drive energy transformation and emissions reduction. The project, with an investment of EGP 550 million, is slated for completion within 11 months.

Additionally, the oil and gas sector is actively pursuing a similar project to generate 6.5 megawatts of electricity from solar energy at the General Petroleum Company, with an investment of EGP 500 million. Both endeavors will be financed through a grant from the European Union's Energy Sector Policy Support Program, aligning with the Ministry's objective of translating visions and strategies into tangible projects for implementation.
