Published on : 2024-01-24

Oslo-listed ABL Group's subsidiary, Longitude Engineering, has successfully secured a contract for the detailed design and engineering services pertaining to the subsea development of Phase-X within Egypt's West Delta Deep Marine concession, situated in the Burullus Gas Field of the Mediterranean Sea.

The WDDM concession, located approximately 90 kilometers offshore on the north-western Nile Delta, has witnessed significant gas discoveries, with ongoing efforts to enhance facilities for sustained gas supply to the Egyptian market and the LNG plant.

Burullus Gas Company's expansion initiative, WDDM Phase-X, involves bringing three subsea wells online to augment the existing 70 wells, operating at depths between 450-660 meters.

Longitude's role encompasses various project phases, including vessel assurance, cable laying operations, detailed cable routing, jumpers design, and safety studies to support cable and jumper installation.

Serving as a subcontractor to the EPIC contractor and vessel owner Petroleum Marine Services (PMS), Longitude is poised to deliver comprehensive design and engineering support for this deepwater project, as affirmed by Daniel McGowan, Offshore Project Director at Longitude Engineering.
