Petroleum minister and Copelouzos Group Explore Natural Gas Collaboration

Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, held discussions with Copelouzos Group's Chairperson, Dimitrios Ch. Copelouzos, to explore potential collaborations in natural gas trade, transportation, distribution, and infrastructure development.
The talks centered on forming partnerships between Egyptian petroleum companies and Prometheus Gas, a subsidiary of the Greek group specializing in gas trading, distribution, infrastructure projects, and pipeline construction.
El-Molla emphasized the Ministry's ongoing efforts to boost Egypt's oil and gas reserves, aiming to secure domestic energy needs and create surpluses for value-added industries and exports.
Highlighting Egypt's robust natural gas infrastructure, El-Molla underscored the country's crucial role as an Eastern Mediterranean gas hub for the global market.
Copelouzos emphasized Prometheus Gas' expertise in gas trading, distribution, and infrastructure development, expressing the group's interest in collaborating with Egyptian entities for mutually beneficial outcomes in the natural gas sector.
