Egypt-Shell Talks at ADIPEC 2023 Indicate Stronger Future Energy Cooperation

Within the framework of his participation in ADIPEC 2023, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has met with Cedric Cremers, Executive Vice President LNG at Shell, in the presence of Samir Raslan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Exploration and Agreements; and Khaled Kacem, Vice President and Country Chair at Shell Egypt. 

The meeting discussed the company’s business and the progress of its projects in Egypt, its future plans in the field of research and exploration, and its aspiration to obtain new concession areas as part of its endeavor to increase production.

Cremers highlighted Shell’s pride in its strong relationship with the Egyptian petroleum sector and its commitment to enhancing joint cooperation, especially within the framework of supporting Egypt to import additional quantities of natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean region for re-export to Europe, as one of the partners in the liquefaction plant in Damietta and an operator of many fields in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
