Mopco achieves EGP 7.25bn consolidated profits in 2022

Mubasher: The consolidated net profits after tax of Misr Fertilizers Production Company (Mopco) amounted to EGP 7.25 billion in 2022, an annual hike of 51% from EGP 4.79 billion, including minority interest.

The EGX-listed firm registered sales worth EGP 18.86 billion last year, higher by 84% than EGP 10.25 billion in 2021, according to the consolidated financial results.

Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) enlarged to EGP 31.67 as of 31 December 2022 from EGP 19.10 a year earlier, while the total assets widened to EGP 43.80 billion from EGP 26.74 billion.

As for the standalone business, the company’s net profits after tax were valued at EGP 3.83 billion in 2022, whereas the sales hit EGP 6.99 billion.

In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, Mopco generated EGP 5.05 billion in consolidated net profit, up 43.46% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 3.52 billion.
