El-Molla, Eni official discuss accelerating oil fields development

Petroleum Minister Tarek Molla had talks on Tuesday with Guido Brusco, Chief Operating Officer of Natural Resources on Eni, on means of accelerating the implementation of plans for developing oil fields to increase production.

The two sides also reviewed means of realizing more discoveries, to benefit from rising international prices and secure local market needs.

Meanwhile, Molla discussed with Pratima Rangarajan, the CEO of OGCI Climate Investments, means of benefiting from the initiative.

The talks tackled efforts for decarbonization, cutting methane emissions and promoting energy efficiency.

Rangarajan expressed preparedness to promote cooperation and get Egypt to benefit from modern technology in the domain.

Mullah extolled the initiative's support for the oil and natural gas industry, noting that a meeting will be arranged between officials of the sector and the initiative.
