SONATRACH and NATURGY sign an agreement regarding their natural gas sale and purchase contracts

The national hydrocarbon company SONATRACH and the Spanish energy group Naturgy have signed on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 in Algiers an agreement relating to the contracts for the sale and purchase of natural gas between the two companies through the Medgaz pipeline.

SONATRACH and its partner Naturgy have agreed to revise the prices of the existing longterm gas supply contracts taking into account market developments, thus ensuring the balance of their contracts on a win-win basis.

The signing of this agreement strengthens the long-standing partnership between SONATRACH and Naturgy and aims to consolidate their positions on the Spanish market.

The two companies have also agreed to continue their discussions on topics of common interest. Through its contracts with Naturgy, SONATRACH has delivered, over the last decade, more than 83 billion cubic meters to its customer on the Spanish market, contributing to strengthen the security of gas supplies in this market.
