SDX Energy Reports New Gas Discovery in Egypt

SDX Energy PLC said Wednesday that the MA-1X well made a gas discovery at the Mohsen prospect in South Disouq, onshore Egypt.

The oil-and-gas company, which has a 67% interest in the project, said the well encountered the Kafr El Sheikh target, discovering 56.3 feet of net pay gas sand.

The well will now be completed and tested, it said.

Chief Executive Mark Reid said Mohsen was the third success and the largest target of the three wells drilled in 2022.
