ANRPC invests $12m to raise high-octane gasoline output

Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Co (ANRPC) is building a project to increase high-octane gasoline production to 2 million tonnes per day at an estimated cost of $12 million. 

The company is also developing a new project to make the best use of hydrogen-rich gases in order to maximise the production of butane by 21,000 tonnes at an estimated cost of EGP 136 million, Chairman Salah Gaber said in a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Thursday. 

During a visit to several projects in Alexandria, the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, stressed the importance of the role played by petroleum refining companies in boosting the output of high-value petroleum products in the local market which contributes to supporting the national economy.
