ENAP Sipetrol Egypt Appoints new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager

Cairo, June 2021- ENAP, the Chilean oil company, informs that starting this month Denisse Abudinén Butto takes over as the new Chief Executive Officer ENAP Sipetrol and General Manager ENAP Sipetrol Egypt branch replacing Roberto Mc Leod as ENAP Sipetrol Egypt branch GM as he reached his retirement age.

Mrs. Abudinén held the position of Corporate Manager of Exploration & Production Business Line (E&P) at ENAP.

Mrs. Abudinén is a dynamic skilled and senior professional, with an entrepreneurial approach and international experience in Latin America as well as Middle East (Egypt), with over 13 years in the Energy, Oil and Gas and Renewable Industry. Experience in managing relationships at the senior level with Governments, Regulators, Boards, Unions and International and National Companies. Significant experience and track record in turning over businesses, delivering results and developing new business opportunities. Highly motivated for new challenges, new multicultural experiences, and charity projects (Co-Founder of Non-Profit Organization).

Mrs. Abudinén has a long and successful career at ENAP, and she has held important positions, such as Head of ENAP Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and Head of Strategy and Business Development - E&P.

Ms. Abudinén graduated as Civil Industrial Engineering with the Highest Maximum Distinction at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has a MSc International Management at the University of London – King´s College London Graduated with Merits – First Class Honors.

Sipetrol is an ENAP subsidiary founded in 1990, with the purpose of developing hydrocarbon exploration and production activities outside of Chile, taking advantage of the know-how of its professional and technical teams, in the search for new business opportunities abroad. Currently, Sipetrol carries out exploration and production activities in Argentina, Ecuador, and Egypt.

Enap Sipetrol has been in Egypt for more than 15 years with investments in several concessions in the Western Desert, Sinai & offshore Mediterranean. Currently, it operates East Ras Qattara Concession in Western Desert (with 50.5% participation).
