"The Safety of Petroleum Operations" a Virtual Seminar by PSM and Methanex Egypt

Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the activities of the virtual seminar held this morning via video conference entitled "Modernizing Operations Safety Management in the Petroleum Sector ... Vision and Reality" and organized by the Egyptian Supreme Committee for Process Safety Management in the sector (PSM) in cooperation with Methanex Egypt

At the opening of the seminar, Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla affirmed the sector’s commitment to developing capabilities and capabilities for strengthening the management of process safety in various petroleum activities within the framework of the Safety Week initiative that it launched in 2019 under the umbrella of the Petroleum Sector Development and Modernization Project.

He added that this committee is concerned with laying the foundations of the Operations Safety Department to raise awareness, enhance safety culture and reduce risks, praising its efforts during the past year in developing a roadmap to enhance safety, starting to implement the required standards, forming technical sub-committees and activating their work.
